The Neidig group is a physical-inorganic chemistry and catalysis research group at the University of Oxford. Our research focuses on non-precious metal catalysis in organic chemistry, with the long-term goal of elevating our understanding of iron- and cobalt-catalyzed organic transformations to the level currently available for palladium catalysis. Moreover, we are focused on detailed insight into the electronic structure and bonding in heavy element chemistry remains poorly developed despite the critical role of actinide and lanthanide compounds in environmental, non-proliferation and energy issues.

The latest from the group and our own Ben Sinclair in collaboration with the Gutierrez group at UCLA. Another exploration of the wonders of three-component cross-couplings with iron! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
An exciting collaboration with the de Ruiter and Gershoni-Poranne groups, a few years in the making. Aryl-aryl cross-couplings with iron can proceed via radical pathways using a PCP pincer supporting ligand. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1...
New group picture time!!!....we have gotten a bit bigger. Thrilled to be able to work with such a talented group of chemists.
Congratulations to our very own Maria Healy for winning a prize for her talk at the recent DYME meeting in Southampton. Fantastic work and well done!!!
